TIP: Wash your vehicle every two weeks.
Washing your car is important to prevent damaging the paint and finish on your vehicle. You should aim to wash your vehicle every two weeks or even more frequently:
- After a rainfall to prevent traffic film from forming.
- During summer and long-distance travel to clean the build-up of dirt and insects.
- During winter to prevent damage from sand and salt.

TIP: Hand washing your vehicle using an automotive product will typically eliminate road film.
Film and contaminants can easily be removed with your finger but may be difficult to remove during the touchless cleaning process because: they’re not water soluble, they may be baked on from ultraviolet rays from the sun, or they may be heavy metals that are magnetically attracted to each other and the car.

TIP: To improve the removal of bugs from your vehicle, consider washing your vehicle every two weeks or using a wax paint protection.
Bugs on a vehicle’s surface require a special cleaning procedure. During the high bug season, we apply various Turtle Wax® Pro products, along with high-pressure water to rinse away bug remains.
