Fuel Good Day 2018

Thank you for filling up on Fuel Good Day!

More than 180 local organizations and causes across Western Canada are fuelling good after more than $600,000 in donations from Co-op.

The funds were raised as part of Fuel Good Day on Sept. 18. During the day, a minimum of five cents of every litre of fuel – including all grades of gasoline and diesel fuel – sold at participating Co-op Gas Bars was donated to a local charity or non-profit organization.

More than 400 Co-op Gas Bars throughout British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and northwest Ontario participated this year.

While individual donation amounts ranged based on Co-op size and trading area, every penny went to good causes and to good use. Proceeds from Fuel Good Day benefit local schools, community centres, libraries, hospitals, food banks and more.

The funds raised at these locations are supporting a diverse group of organizations, including Wheels for Wellness in Comox, B.C., HALO Air Rescue in Medicine Hat, Alta., United Way in Saskatoon, Sask., and Siloam Mission in Winnipeg, Man.

Last year, Fuel Good Day raised more than $570,000 for registered charities and non-profits – all in a single day.
